About the Club
Of all clubs at Fair Lawn High School, The Masques is among the oldest,
and is probably the most rich in history and traditions. We count successful
actors and directors among our alumni, as well as a great many others
successful in their own fields and whose lives are enriched for having
been members of The Masques.
Meetings/Rehearsals
Once a show is selected and show dates are set, a tentative rehearsal schedule is set. Rehearsals
usually are six days a week (Monday through Saturday) with the club meeting from 2:45 pmcelular phone sales in new jersey u s to 5:00 pm
on most weeknights and from 9 am to 1 pm on most Saturdays.
Over the April break we rehearse on about five of the nine days off (usually both Saturdays and
three weekdays).
During Hell Week (the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of show week), we are here until 11:00 at
night.
The above gives a rough idea of our rehearsal schedule (which usually lasts from six to eight
weeks per production). Students need not attend every single rehearsal in order to join the club.hipoteca banco hipotecario tarjeta credito visathe postal service be still my heartdating free personals totally
Similarly, some students play a sport in one season and join the Masques for the other season.
Students are told to "make whatever commitment you can to the club" and "just stick
to it!"
Fundraising
The Masques are completely self-sufficient and do not take any money from the school in order to
put on shows. Our main sources of fundraising are:
- Ticket sales
- Ads
- Refreshments sold during performances
While we do sometimes sell videotapes of our shows or our semi- the occasional car wash or bake sale,
the above accounts for the bulk of our fundraising.
Afteryoung college girls his death, a fund was begun in Thomas Ratzin's name which was to provide an annual
scholarship for exceptional theater students. Since the original fund was consumed, the Masques
