Othello, the Moor of Venice
The Masques'2011 fall show was William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Othello: The Moor of Venice. It depicts the conflict between Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army, and Iago, Othello's ensign. Iago, jealous of Othello's promotion of Michael Cassio to lieutenant, seeks revenge on the honest Moor through manipulation and deceit.
